Why Prague?

Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires

Prague is the city with the largest number of towers in the world, which is why it is called the city of a hundred spires. The first person who actually counted the towers was Bernard Bolzano in the 19th century. He counted 103. Today, there are 132 in Prague’s Old Town alone. No one knows the exact number of spires and towers in the whole of Prague, but it is estimated at more than two thousand.

Prague Castle is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. It is the largest still inhabited castle compound in the world, covering an area of 7.20 hectares.

Restaurants

My favorite restos in Prague

Restaurant Mlýnec

A lovely restaurant overlooking the Charles Bridge, the Vltava river flows under your feet, and you dine in a newly designed interior inspired by the dynamic surface of the water. Add to that the exceptional food, with an emphasis on getting every detail just right, and a thoroughly professional approach, and your visit will be a truly special experience which you will want to relive.

Address:

Novotného lávka 9

What I like about it

This restaurant has one of the best romantic view of the Charles Bridge along the Vltava River. They serve Czech delicacies that will delight your palate.

Klášterní šenk

The Klášterní šenk restaurant is situated in Břevnov Monastery grounds, where you can enjoy Czech cuisine specialties. The atmosphere of the stylish restaurant with an open fireplace and period decoration is enhanced by the Benedict beers from the local St. Adalbert monastery brewery. The monastery is the site of the first written mention of brewing beer in the CZ.

Address:

Markétská 1, 169 00, Břevnov

What I like about it

This restaurant is located in a picturesque grounds of Monastery and has the best Roast Duck I have tried. You may pair it with their famous Dumplings or Sauer Kraut.

Lokál Dlouhááá

Lokáls are the embodiment of a dream of a pub, where the guests can make themselves at home. Historically the first and literally the longest Lokál - it measures 69,78 meters on which we serve beer from 12 tanks and where up to 1300 guests visit on a daily basis. Thanks to its busy address in Prague’s city center it is always full and lively, just the way we like it.

Address:

Dlouha 33

What I like about it

IF you love beer, then this place is a must visit. The restaurant is alway almost full of people hanging out after a hard days work. They also serve Czech dishes.
